What almanac is — and is not
Almanac is a wellness tool: a daily symptom check-in and a weekly report that shows how your symptoms move together over time. It is intended to help you notice patterns and have better conversations with your clinician.
Almanac is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app, its reports, or its emails is a substitute for the judgment of a qualified health professional. If you are worried about a symptom, talk to a clinician. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email you; there is no password. Keep your email account secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Membership and billing
- Plans. Almanac is offered as a monthly or an annual membership. The price is shown before you subscribe and on your receipt.
- Free trial. New memberships start with a 5-day free trial. You will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. When the trial ends, your membership begins and your card is charged for the plan you chose.
- Renewal. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account page (“Manage my subscription”). Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds. The free trial is how you try almanac without paying. After a charge has been made, we do not generally issue refunds for unused time, but if something has gone wrong, email hello@joinalmanac.app and we will look at it personally.
- Taxes. Prices exclude sales tax; where tax applies, it is calculated and shown at checkout.
- Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
The appointment pack and the guide
The appointment pack is a one-page summary of what you recorded in almanac, made when you ask for it and saved to your own device. It is included with a membership that has a card on file, and can also be bought once without a membership; a one-time purchase unlocks it for 30 days. The guide is general educational reading about perimenopause and menopause. Neither is a medical record, a diagnosis, or medical advice, and neither replaces a clinician. Both are digital items delivered at once; if something went wrong with a purchase, write to us and we will put it right.
Text message reminders
If you opt in on the app, almanac (operated by RDJ Digital LLC) will text you a daily check-in reminder — about one message a day — after one text asking you to reply YES to confirm your number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel; you will get one last message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@joinalmanac.app. Opting in is not a condition of purchase, and membership works the same without it. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is described in our Privacy Policy.
Your content
What you record in almanac is yours. We use it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export it or delete it at any time from your account page.
Acceptable use
Use almanac for yourself. Do not try to access other members’ data, interfere with the service, or use automated tools against it. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability
We work hard to keep almanac available and your data safe, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service, we will give you time to export your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, almanac is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms. Either way, the membership and billing rules above apply.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email members before the change takes effect. Continuing to use almanac after that date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
